Theory: Therapeutic Value of Stories
A leading practitioner in the field of Storytelling Grove (2013:3) argues that stories are more than a sitting and listening activity: 'Through stories we find out new experiences and ideas, we develop empathy and imagination, we learn to face challenges and solve problems.'

'Stories have a value beyond literacy.. is crucial to the emotional development of children and to the formation of their social identities' (Grove 2013:25)
'It's more than just a story'
The stories are a fusion of everyones talents created by working together to produce something greater and more wonderful than the sum of their parts.
